We love this ice machine. After reading many reviews and watching user videos, I decided on this one for its cost, ease of use and cleaning, ice production, and small size for sitting on the countertop. We use a lot of ice and our fridge ice maker does not work well sadly. We waited the recommended 24 hours, leaving the machine upright in the box. Then we loaded it with water, plugged it in, and pressed the button; it began making ice within 6 minutes. (we tossed the first 5 batches or so as rec.) It has a slight hum when it is on, but nothing bothersome to us. Some say this ice cannot be frozen, or it turns into a block of ice, but we figured out a way that works for us. Once the ice basket is full, we dump the ice in a bin in our freezer. After we get a good amount of ice in the bin, we break it up with an ice pic We may have to do this a couple of times, but we are ok with that for the amount of ice we can produce over a few hours.
This is our second Silon ice machine. The first one turned on but never made ice. We returned with no hassle and ordered the one we now have. It just must have been a bad machine. We are thankful the return was easy.

Product: I recently picked up the Silonn Nugget Ice Maker and I’ve been pretty impressed with it so far. The noise level is really manageable, which was a pleasant surprise because I’ve dealt with some noisy appliances in the past. It’s quiet enough that it doesn’t bother anyone in the house, even when we’re all in the kitchen.
The machine is quite efficient at making ice, and I haven’t had to fuss over it much—just use filtered water, and it runs smoothly with very little maintenance required. The nugget ice it produces is just the right size, not too big or too small, perfect for cooling drinks without diluting them too quickly.
It’s been especially great for making iced tea and other cold beverages on hot days. The size of the ice maker is also a good fit for my kitchen; it doesn’t take up much space but still produces a decent amount of ice.
Overall, I’m really happy with this purchase. It does exactly what I need without any hassle, and having quick access to nugget ice anytime has been a game changer for my daily routines.
Amazon Customer Service: Working with Amazon is a nightmare. I was expecting this product on their expected ‘Prime’ delivery date only for it to get delayed 3 times before they ended up cancelling it. I had to contact Amazon support and, I swear, they literally say anything to get you off the chat as fast as possible. Making false promises of credit or refunds saying that it will hit your account in however many days. I honestly don’t know why I pay for Prime anymore since my inbox is littered with emails about how they are sorry about the delay with no repercussions. It took 2 weeks to get this item on a Prime delivery. Terrible customer service.

It arrived, I opened it. Not working!
No ice but water. From second it was on. Too expensive for such a disappointment. Please replace.

I do enjoy having ice that is made quickly. Unfortunately, it’s quite a large appliance to have on your countertop every day. We bought one since our fridge quit making ice. It is efficient and makes good ice. The kids feel it melts quickly, but if you use a Stanley or some type of tumbler that keeps things cold, it lasts quite long. My only complaint is that it states it’s “low noise” and I have to disagree. The Silonn ice maker is not loud constantly, the fan kicks on intermittently. However, if you’re one of those types of people that hates the sound of the fan above your stove, this may be the downside of this ice maker Otherwise it’s been perfect in a pinch and has replaced our ice cube trays which too messy and time consuming.
