- Accurate Soil Moisture Detection：The XLUX Soil Moisture Meter can tell you if the soil deep inside your pot or garden is dry, moist or wet; whereas your eyes and fingers can only determine the moisture level of the soil surface.
- Easy-to-Read Large Dial: The large dial is easy to read and includes three zones with ten scales, making it very straightforward to understand.
- Immediate Moisture Reading: Insert the probe into the soil, and without waiting, the dial will immediately display the moisture level. You can then decide whether your plant needs watering based on the measurement. Do not leave this moisture meter in the soil for more than 5 minutes, as the metal tip will gradually corrode.
- Less Damage: A single probe causes less damage to plant roots compared to double or multiple probes, and when you remove the probe after testing, it won’t bring out much soil.
- Usage Precautions: Do not use it to test very hard soil. Do not test water or other liquids. After testing, please wipe the probe clean.

XLUX Soil Moisture Meter is such a needed item in your plant cart! I had such a hard time figuring out weather to water or not but now it’s so much easier with this Meter! I needed this to take readings of the moisture levels in my backyard. I had just had the yard landscaped into three separate sections: the lawn area, an area for vegetables, and an area for fruit trees and flowers. This device works well but I do wish that the indicator window was easier to read. If the dial and window were slanted upwards instead of facing forward, it would be easier to read without stooping down.

This meter is very helpful in getting a handle on watering your lawn as well as plants and vegetation. You can get brown grass and brown vegetation from both overwatering and underwatering, so the meter is very handy to keep the moisture in the middle. Definitely helped in my garden and my neighbors immediately bought one after borrowing mine to try.

I have over 50 houseplants and water them all once a week. Of course, it is inevitable that some will need more frequent watering and some less. And then there is always that plant you will kill by overwatering. But, with this moisture meter, you will instantly know if the soil is too dry or too moist. When I tested my plants there were some surprises. For example, one plant that I thought was dying because it was too dry, was actually overwatered. I really didn’t know what to expect from this gadget, it was kind of an impulse purchase. But I am pleasantly surprised at how it works and glad I ordered it.
